problem solving

27th Nov 2013

I was starting my software upgrade on a computer when I noticed that there weren't any internet connection and the Local area network is also missing from the network connection list. I couldn't find any way of getting that back it took me half-hour to figure out what was wrong, the problem was with the LAN drivers so I reinstalled the LAN drivers and guess what everything worked know i had interent access my missing LAN connection was also at its place.

I noticed that my biggest strength in problem solving situation is that I stay calm but I noticed that I have to improve on my thinking and decision making cause it took me half-hour to figure out it was the drivers which i should of check in the start.

Installation and upgrade plans

Installation and upgrade plans

Before we actually start installing an operating system on a pc we have to make a installation plan this plan includes what equipment resources we need to carry out the job.
The equipment we need includes a pc, a windows xp cd with serial key and lan connection  details to carry out the upgrades.

Android, IOS or Windows presentation

19th Nov 2013

Android, IOS or Windows

I choose to talk about mobile operating systems, identify some of their features, there look and feel and customisation option. The Three OS I choose to talk about was Google Android, Apple IOS and Microsoft windows. I feel that I started the presentation well although I was slightly nervous, I did manage to go through all three OS in those 2 min.

I think my biggest strength in the presentation was my knowledge about those three OS, you couldn’t get through everything in 2min but I managed to point out key differences. What I did wrong in that presentation was using “AAA…umm…” during the talk, however I managed to use my body language and kept my hands out of the pockets. This was an improvement in my presentational skills as I used to put my hands in pocket when presenting.

Overall I think I managed the presentation well and used body language I may need to work on my pauses and try to be more confident in my presentations but overall it was my best presentation.
